Privacy policy

• Creators — people who sign up and add Yummy Quote to their website.

• Visitors — people who ask for a quote through a creator’s widget.

• Website visitors — anyone browsing yummyquote.com.

• Your name and email address, used to sign you in with a magic link and to send you new quotes.

• Your setup: your business name, industry, website addresses and platform, questions, prices, currency and widget settings.

• Sign-in details: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, plus the IP address and browser of each session, used for security.

When you ask for a quote through a widget, we collect your name, your email address and your answers to the creator’s questions. We use them to email you an estimate and to send your request to that creator. The creator can then see your details and reply to you directly.

We also store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to limit spam and abuse. We don’t store the IP address itself.

The creator decides what to ask and what to do with your request. If you have questions about how a creator uses your details, please contact them directly. We process this information on their behalf.

• Cookie choice. We remember whether you accepted or declined cookies in a small cookie called yq_consent.

• Google Analytics loads only if you click Accept. It tells us how people find and use the site. We have turned off Google’s advertising features.

• Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.

• “See it on your site”. When you type a website address into the preview box, we check that address and may take a screenshot of it to show the preview. The address may be saved to our private list of interested creators.

• Waitlist. If you join a waitlist, we save your email address to contact you about Yummy Quote.

You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing the cookies for yummyquote.com in your browser. The banner will then ask you again.

• To run the service: sign you in, show the widget, send estimates and lead emails.

• To keep things safe: block spam and bots and prevent abuse.

• To improve Yummy Quote, using counts and trends rather than individual visitor details.

• To list your studio in the Yummy Quote creator directory, if you chose to be listed when you set up: your studio name, industry and website are shown publicly so clients can find you. Email hello@yummyquote.com any time to remove your listing.

• To reply when you contact us.

We never sell personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

We rely on a few trusted providers to run Yummy Quote. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:

• Cloudflare — hosting, database, file storage, bot protection (Turnstile) and cookie-free analytics.

• Resend — sending emails (sign-in links, estimates and lead notifications).

• Google Analytics — website analytics, only after you accept cookies.

• Notion and n8n — our private list of waitlist sign-ups and interested creators.

• Zoho Mail — our inbox for emails you send us.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union.

We keep creator accounts and their quotes for as long as the account is open. Creators can delete quotes, and when an account is closed we delete its data, except anything we must keep by law. Visitors can ask us to delete their details at any time (see below).

You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email hello@yummyquote.com from the address you used and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to certain uses or to complain to your local data protection authority.

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwordless sign-in links and bot protection. Visitor IP addresses are stored only in scrambled form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will let affected people know about any serious breach.

Yummy Quote is not meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

If we make significant changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and let creators know by email.
